Malahide (from the Irish Mullach Íde) is a picturesque suburban town of Dublin City located in County Fingal (fomerly County Dublin) in the Republic of Ireland. The town is situated 10 miles north of Dublin city, on the train line to Belfast. It lies between Swords and Portmarnock. It is one of Dublin's wealthiest suburban towns. The name Mullach Íde in Irish means The Promonitory of St. Ita. It is home to approximately 15,000 inhabitants and the St. Sylvester's GAA teams. Malahide is popular with tourists as it is noted for having a homely atmosphere, fine nearby beach and beautiful castle and demesne.

Malahide boasts the fine Malahide Castle and gardens, which were once the estate of Lord Talbot de Malahide. The town grew in popularity in Georgian times as a seaside resort for wealthy Dublin city dwellers. This is evident today in the fine collection of Georgian houses in the town and along the seafront.
